I'm David Zethmayr, of Mauston, Wisconsin, US. "Slantnote" is both my musical stage name and the name of the notation system I teach with. I play and teach cello, string bass, sing, write songs, compose children's music, direct tiny amateur a cappella choirs, chant in an Orthodox parish, Byzantine tradition (Antiochian), and play in bluegrass jams. I'm a longtime fan of the pedagogic concepts of Zoltan Kodaly.

Slantnote notation is based on the squiggle, an alternative view to keyboard for visualizing note structuring. Squiggle modeling hones right in on intervals, triads, inversions and chords independently of any note naming or notation schema, so your favorite solfeggio system is best. Nevertheless, I highly recommend using numbers (1..7) for any number of practical reasons, whether alone or along with solfeggio.

Further material on squiggle and slantnote is to be seen at http://earfirst.com and http://slantnote.org   A note on Nashville chording is on this wiki as well.
